Produced by Culturespaces in collaboration with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the National Center for Space Studies, the exhibition, dubbed, Destination Cosmos: The Immersive Space Experience, transports guests through the universe with 13 visual sequences and a prologue that starts on Earth and brings viewers over Martian canyons, into the heart of Jupiter, across the rings of Saturn, and more. Destination Cosmos will be open at Tribeca's Hall des Lumières on April 7 and run through June 4.

New York City finally got its bean. About five years and several delays later, Anish Kapoor's mirrored sculpture was unveiled to the public this week, seemingly propping up Tribeca's "Jenga Building" at 56 Leonard Street. As first reported by Tribeca Citizen, and confirmed by 6sqft, the longstanding barriers and scaffolding have been removed, with the monumental permanent public artwork taking its rightful place on the corner of Church and Leonard Streets.

Savannah Guthrie is selling her full-floor Tribeca loft for $7.1M

"Today" co-host Savannah Guthrie and her husband, communications pro Michael Feldman, have put their turn-key Tribeca loft on the market for $7,100,000. The full-floor four-bedroom received a modern renovation by AD100 architects Ike Kligerman Barkley and AD100 interior designer Monique Gibson. After calling the apartment home for over five years, the couple has decided to sell because they have a "vision and dream of living in a townhouse," Guthrie told the Wall Street Journal, which first reported the listing.

See the marine science-themed playground coming to Hudson River Park’s Pier 26

Manhattan is getting a new, marine science-inspired play area to teach kids about wildlife. The Hudson River Park Trust last month broke ground on the 4,000-square-foot play area at Pier 26 in Tribeca. Designed by OLIN, the Pier 26 Science Play Area will feature interactive sculptural elements where children can play while learning about marine life and the surrounding Hudson River habitat. The specialized park will also serve as an outdoor programming space for the future Hudson River Estuarium and complements the recently opened ecologically-themed Pier 26. Located at North Moore Street in Hudson River Park, the play area is expected to open to the public this year.

Related Companies on Monday launched sales for 176 luxurious residences on the Hudson River's waterfront in Tribeca. Located at 450 Washington Street, the building was designed by Roger Ferris + Partners, with amenities and common spaces conceived by MAWD, and landscape architecture by Hollander Design. Residences range from open plan studios to four bedrooms, priced around $1 million to $12 million.

Designed by prominent New York City architect Stephen Decatur Hatch, the six-story building at 451 Washington Street was constructed as a warehouse in 1891 and converted to co-ops in the 1970s. Citing its striking combination of neo-Flemish and Romanesque Revival architectural styles, the city's Landmarks Preservation Commission designated the Fleming Smith Warehouse as a landmark in 1978. Take a yoga class surrounded by immersive art in NYC’s Hall des Lumières

Equinox has launched a six-week yoga series in the new cultural institution, which opened earlier this month inside the landmarked Emigrant Industrial Savings Bank. During the 45-minute vinyasa yoga flow class, participants are surrounded by the museum's inaugural exhibition featuring glowing projections of Gustav Klimt's famous artworks. Classes, some of which are open to non-Equinox members, take place on Thursday mornings through October 27 and cost $50.

Immersive art museum Hall des Lumières officially opens at landmarked Lower Manhattan bank hall

A new permanent museum dedicated to immersive digital art experiences opened inside a New York City landmark on Wednesday. Located in Tribeca at 49 Chambers Street, Hall des Lumières sits within the former Emigrant Industrial Savings Bank, which was constructed in 1911 in a Beaux-Arts architectural style. The museum's inaugural exhibition, Gustav Klimt: Gold in Motion, will feature animated projections of paintings by the famous Viennese painter across the former bank hall's marble walls and columns. The exhibition also includes a  presentation about the Emigrant Industrial Savings Bank's history and original design.

The unusual listing included a townhouse at 9 Jay Street and a separate loft condo at 67 Hudson Street, connected by the famed footbridge suspended over Staple Street. New underwater habitat with 20 million juvenile oysters deployed at NYC’s Gansevoort Peninsula

A new man-made underwater habitat with 20 million juvenile oysters was installed along the northern shore of Gansevoort Peninsula in the Hudson River this week. As part of a major project to restore and protect Hudson River Park's 400-acre Estuarine Sanctuary, the reef-like system includes hundreds of submerged "reef balls" and "gabions" seeded with baby oysters. Ultimately, the project aims to create an oyster reef complex, improve habitats for organisms found in the river, and help mitigate the effect of storm surges.

A permanent immersive art center will open inside a Lower Manhattan landmark this summer

A permanent museum dedicated to immersive art experiences will open this summer in Lower Manhattan. Dubbed Hall des Lumières, the art center will take over the former Emigrant Industrial Saving Bank building across from City Hall and feature animated and glowing 30-foot displays of famous paintings. Developed by French museum operator Culturespaces and IMG, the center's inaugural installation will be Gustav Klimt: Gold in Motion, "a thematic journey through the golden, sensuous and revolutionary art of the Viennese painter," according to a press release.
